  • Day 1 Nairobi – Meru National Park

    Nairobi – Meru National Park

    You will be met on arrival at Nairobi Airport or collected from your hotel in Nairobi. Drive northeast into Kenya’s scenic Central Highlands, heading for Meru National Park. Stop for lunch at the Trout Tree Restaurant, set in an enormous fig tree with resident colobus monkeys.
     
    Continue towards Meru National Park, stopping enrotue to enjoy a game drive and visit a rhino sanctuary [state the location of the game drive and rhino sanctuary]. Arrive at Rhino River Camp, where you will have dinner and stay for 2 nights.  Read More

  • Day 2 Meru National Park

    Meru National Park

    Start the day with an early morning game drive. Less visited than Samburu or the Masai Mara, Meru offers a quieter, more intimate safari experience. The park is home to a wide variety of species, including the Big Five – lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards and Cape buffalo – as well as giraffe, zebra and more than 400 bird species. Head back to the camp for breakfast, then enjoy a mid-morning game drive.
     
    After the lunch at the camp, head out for final wildlife drive and visit the park’s rhino sanctuary – a stronghold for Kenya’s rhino population. Return to Rhino River Camp for dinner.  Read More

  • Day 3 Meru National Park – Samburu National Reserve

    Meru National Park – Samburu National Reserve

    Enjoy an early morning nature walk around the camp before breakfast. Drive northwest to Samburu National Reserve, a vast expanse of pristine wilderness home to rare species including the Grévy’s zebra and the reticulated giraffe, as well as lions, cheetahs and almost 900 elephants. The reserve is located in the dry area of Northern Kenya, home of nomad tribes including the Samburus, the Rendilles and the Boran.
     
    Arrive in time for lunch at the Samburu Intrepids Camp, where you will stay for 2 nights. Take an afternoon game drive along the EwasoNyiro river.  Read More

  • Day 4 Samburu National Reserve

    Enjoy a full day of wildlife drives in the reserve. Game viewing here is very rewarding; you may spot species unique to the area, such as Beisa oryx, long-necked gerenuks and Somali ostriches. You will take another game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro; populated with hippos and crocodiles, the giant river is the only source of water for this dry reserve. 

  • Day 5 Samburu National Reserve – Ol Pejeta Wildlife Conservancy

    After breakfast, depart and drive past Mount Kenya on your way towards Nanyuki. Enter Ol Pejeta Wildlife Conservancy and enjoy a game drive en route to Sweetwaters Serena Tented Camp, where you will stay for 1 night. Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and is home to two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos.
     
    Have lunch at the camp, then head out for an afternoon game drive and visit a chimpanzee sanctuary.  Read More
